Agricultural Hemp
« Back to Glossary Index
Agricultural hemp, also referred to as industrial hemp, holds a significant position as an agricultural commodity. Its cultivation is primarily targeted at producing a diverse range of products, such as food, beverages, personal care items, nutritional supplements, fabrics, textiles, paper, construction materials, insulation, and numerous other manufactured goods. The 2018 Farm Bill definitively identifies agricultural hemp as the Cannabis sativa L. plant and enforces a strict THC limit of 0.3% on a dry weight basis.
