CBG
Cannabigerol, also known as CBG, is often regarded as the “mother of all cannabinoids” because other cannabinoids are derived from cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), which is the acidic form of CBG. However, CBG is present in much smaller quantities compared to other phytocannabinoids, making CBG products rare and relatively expensive. CBG has shown the ability to bind to both CB1 and CB2 receptors in the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). It exhibits promising potential in enhancing pleasure and motivation, regulating appetite and sleep, and providing pain relief. Importantly, CBG does not have any psychotropic effects and, therefore, does not induce a “high.”
