Tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THCP) is a recently discovered cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant’s resin-filled trichomes. Identified in 2019 by Italian researchers, THCP shares structural similarities with THC but is considered one of the most potent cannabinoids to date, potentially up to 30 times stronger. Like THC, THCP interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, leading to effects such as pain relief, relaxation, and altered perception. However, THCP is believed to have a much stronger binding affinity to cannabinoid receptors, contributing to its heightened potency. Researchers and cannabis enthusiasts are intrigued by THCP’s potential medical and recreational applications, though more research is necessary to fully understand its effects and potential benefits and risks. Careful dosing and monitoring are crucial when using THCP to achieve optimal results and minimize possible side-effects.
