Medical Marijuana review: The Soap
Despite boasting a 22.41% THC level, The Soap is never particularly overpowering
There were a couple properties that when combined felt rather unique to the high(s) I experienced through The Soap, which is such a great name for a strain. On two different occasions I vaped it before afternoon walks and both experiences yielded fairly comparable results.
On neither occasion did The Soap hit me immediately, which led to initial assessments that this may be a weak strain. Not so! In both instances the high creeped up on me 10 or 15 minutes after the vape. But not in any kind of intense way, it’s a slow creep to a steady, soothing high. Despite boasting a 22.41% THC level, it’s never particularly overpowering – it will not send you to either the moon or the sofa.
What I found most interesting about The Soap is that it’s a high that really lasts. On both walks the high lasted the duration and I came home fairly stoned after more than an hour each time. This strikes me as a great strain to imbibe before heading into a dark movie theatre, because the high will mostly last the duration of the film. I mean, if you’re into that sort of thing. I’ve been getting high and going to the movies for as long as I’ve been getting high (but most certainly not for as long as I’ve been going to the movies), and I always think twice before lighting up because there’s nothing worse than hitting a draggy come down somewhere around the climax of the picture.
Though I did not get to test The Soap out at an actual movie theatre and therefore missed out on the thrill of lighting up in the parking lot, I did imbibe it before watching a movie at home – John Carpenter’s “In the Mouth of Madness,” an appropriately whacked selection to get stoned and enjoy. The fact that The Soap did not wreck my brain adds to it movie-going benefits. This wasn’t a strain that spaced me out to the point where I couldn’t concentrate on following a 90-minute film, even one as bizarre and disjointed as this particular Carpenter offering. But the fact remains I held a nice, steady high throughout the film, which is a very sweet feature of this particular strain in my book.
The Soap is a Hybrid strain leaning toward Sativa. Its terpene profile includes Caryophyllene, Limonene and Humulene.
